Five Edge writers (Issue 1) will be reading their work at the “Our Future Voices” panel of the 2015 Hong Kong International Literary Festival.

Abel

  • The hardest question for Abel Han is “Where are you from?” His hometowns include Hubei, Hebei, Liaoning, Hong Kong, Hainan Island and more to come. Writing in Chinese, he won the first prize in the New Concept Writing Competition 2012 and was the first runner-up in the Intervarsity Creative Writing Competition 2015.

  • Jodie Mak is a year-4 student majoring in Creative and Professional Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University. She is the Chief Editor of a few abortive blogs and an enthusiast of too many things ranging from indie to mainstream.

  • Yvonne Ng Tsz Yin is a Year 4 student majoring in Creative and Professional Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University. She believes that a poem is both the least demanding and the most powerful genre, because it has the fewest words to impress readers. Sometimes she jots down peculiar thoughts and inspiring images to write poems.

  • Grace Wong Hiu Yan is a final-year student concentrating on literature in the Department of English at Hong Kong Baptist University. She loves the smell of old books and has unconventional ideas for bookmarks. She is one of the founding co-editors of EDGE, a print and online creative journal based in Hong Kong Baptist University.
